OVERVIEW

The Amazon River Basin covers much of South America with parts in Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia among others. Mostly inaccessible by road, travel to the Amazon rainforest is an adventure in itself. A combination of small planes, buses, trucks, boats and dugout canoes set the tone for an amazing wildlife experience. But situated in these hard to reach areas are a variety of jungle lodges, research stations and small villages that offer an exciting travel experience available nowhere else.
