Galapagos Island Cruises

The Galapagos Islands are famous for a variety of unusual creatures, from marine iguanas to blue-footed boobies and lava lizards. You'll get closer to the wildlife here than you would anywhere else in the world as the Galapagos Archipelago lies isolated 600 miles off the coast of South America. The isolation and late discovery by humans, along with a historical lack of predators has set the stage for a unique environmental experiment and developed into perhaps the greatest showcase for evolution to be witnessed anywhere. Follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin - step aboard a Galapagos cruise and discover it for yourself!

The Gap Adventures Difference in The Galapagos Islands

Our lineup of six exclusive yachts in the Galapagos, combined with thousands of happy visitors each year speaks for itself. We are one of the largest operators in the Galapagos, operating all of our own tours, enabling us to control the quality of your tour from start to finish. Things to know:

  • Our Fleet of Six Yachts - we fully control and operate each of our yachts, meaning you are not being sold onto someone else's ship - it is all Gap Adventures.
  • 18 Departures a Week - with 6, 7 and 10-day tours running every week, nobody offers more variety! Many of our trips combine with Peru and Ecuador tours too.
  • Cater to All Budgets - whether you prefer a Superior yachting experience or are on a tight budget, one of our yachts is right for you.
  • Maximum 16-20 People - we keep our group sizes small for a more intimate experience so you get the most out of the expertise of our Naturalist Guides.
  • YOLO Yacht - tours designed exclusively for the 18-30 something traveller!
  • Unbeatable Prices - since we control the yachts, we pass savings directly on to you, no unnecessary mark ups or middle men.
  • Extensive Land Galapagos Options - we can easily add Isabela Island or a land program on to your Yacht adventure too!

More About our Galapagos Yachts

All of the vessels in our Galapagos fleet have zodiacs and dinghies (called “pangas” locally) to facilitate shore excursions as well as cruising around ocean features and snorkeling trips. All boats also include snorkeling equipment, a standout highlight in the Galapagos Islands which should not be missed! Our specially trained crew will show you the charms of these wonderful islands and leave you with memories to last a lifetime. Your voyage is guided by a local naturalist guide certified by the Galapagos National Park Authority and who is eager to share their extensive knowledge about the natural habitat that you will be visiting. Our guides are intimately acquainted with the flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands. The cabin crew and guide work together to make your journey unforgettable. A representative from the Gap Adventures office will be on hand in Quito to ensure your Galapagos experience is smooth sailing from start to finish.
