    Please join us for an informative presentation on Travel Heath with Maieda Valkenier, Travel and Vaccination Nurse from Medisys Health Group in Vancouver. Maieda will cover infectious disease risks to travellers, routine and required immunizations, information about high altitude sickness, malaria prevention as well as destination specific risks.

    Planeterra's range of projects throughout the world encompasses health programs, micro-enterprise development, social programs, education initiatives, environmental conservation, and community infrastructure improvements.

    All projects have the central goal of helping local people achieve a sustainable way of life in an environmentally sensitive manner.

    John Lee has taught English in Japan, travelled on the Trans-Siberian Railway and helped build two igloos. Since 1999, he has written on a diverse range of travel subjects, including beer, nightlife, food, museums, galleries and train trips for newspapers and magazines around the world. In 2004, he became a Lonely Planet guidebook author and has written 14 books for the company to date.     From downtown Vancouver, take either the #4 UBC or #7 Dunbar bus southbound on Howe St to the stop at West 4th and Maple.

    By Car:
    Coming from downtown Vancouver, drive south over the Burrard Street bridge and then take a right on West 4th. Drive up West 4th for 2 blocks and the store is on the right hand side. Meter parking is all along West 4th from 8am-8pm.
