Staff Bios
My travels began at the age of two when my mom took me
around England, Scotland and France by car. Back in Canada, based in Ontario, I saw a little more of the country from the passenger seat every year...slowly feeding my passion, and eventual addiction to travel.
My first travels on my own led me to Mexico, which I love and have visited numerous times. On my fourth trip to Mexico I planned to work as a volunteer for six months to fully experience life there. I stayed for five years during which
time I began working with G.A.P Adventures as a tour leader on trips through Mexico and Central America! I eventually moved back to Vancouver where I graduated from
UBC with a degree in Latin American
Studies and received my certification as a translator.
I have also travelled to Australia, Fiji, Thailand and Nepal. When I'm not planning your vacations and adventures I can be found at the beach or park with my beloved basset hound or on the seawall training for my next big run. Peru and Bolivia are first on my list for
the next time I dust off my backpack!
"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page" - St Augustine
This quote sums up my philosophy on life. After completing an English Literature degree and a Tourism Management program, I set off to discover if this ancient quote held true. Six continents and quite a few countries later I still believe good old St Augustine. From living in Melbourne, Australia to camping out under the stars in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania I seem to find adventure anywhere I go. I have jumped out of a plane in New Zealand, fallen out of a whitewater raft on the Zambezi in Zimbabwe, trekked up the side of a mountain in Patagonia and climbed down into caves in Guatemala.
A few of my favourite places on this planet...? Brighton - England, Wanaka - New Zealand, Bocas del Toro - Panama, Cape Town - South Africa
And where next...? Antarctica, Bhutan, Croatia...the list is infinite!
G.A.P Adventures has allowed me to continue building on my wish list of travel destinations and share my experiences with others venturing out on their first, or their latest adventure.

My passion for travel started well before I was born. My parents have always been avid travelers and after my brother and myself were born they didn't stop, taking us in tow on all their crazy adventures.
We never were known to travel conventionally. Instead, we would rent cars and explore hidden cities while my dad told us stories of pirates and sunken ships...sometimes we would even search for them!
After finishing film and television school in my home town of Toronto, Ontario I decided to start my own adventures and backpacked solo across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. My desire to work in the travel industry was born.
I have been lucky enough to explore other countries as well such as Costa Rica, Honduras and Bahamas to name a few.
G.A.P Adventures is a great fit for my adventurous nature. It has allowed me to continue my adventures in this amazing world and also share my stories about sunken treasures and lost worlds to other adventurous travelers.
