Day 1 Arrive Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai at any time.
Day 2 Shanghai
Experience the frenetic energy of Shanghai, China's largest and most dynamic city. This unique port city is a delicate balancing act, where modern skyscrapers meet the traditional architecture of the Bund.
Day 3-4 Wuzhen and Hangzhou
Take a boat trip under ancient bridges as you cruise through hundreds of canals in Wuzhen. Renowned as an earthly paradise, soak up the local atmosphere and perhaps take a boat ride on West Lake in the beautiful city of Hangzhou.
Day 5-6 Guilin and Yangshuo (1L)
Surrounded by spectacular limestone karst hills and green paddy fields, Guilin lies on the west bank of the Li River and is your picture perfect base for exploring the peaks, rivers, caves and outlying villages.
Day 7-9 Kunming
Yunnan's capital, Kunming, exudes a relaxed atmosphere and showcases the influences of the many ethnic minority groups that live in this province.
Day 10-11 Chengdu
Full of temples, parks, and teahouses, Chengdu is an easy city to explore on foot and is one of China's more laid back cities. The nearby Panda Breeding Research base provides the opportunity to see these great animals up close.
Day 12-15 Lhasa (1B)
Dominated by the awe-inspiring Potala Palace, Lhasa lies almost 3700 metres above sea level. Explore the various ancient temples in this colourful and holy city.
Day 16-18 Xi'an
This ancient capital is home to one of China’s greatest archaeological treasures – the Terracotta Warriors. After working up an appetite exploring, make sure to indulge your taste buds with some of the best market food in the country.
Day 19-20 Beijing
Walk the legendary grounds of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China. Beijing is a city of incredible sites with shopping, food and entertainment sure to please all tastes.
