Day 1 Arrive Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok at any time.
Day 2 Bangkok (B)
Chaotic streets and busy canals, tranquil temples, colourful markets and food that defies description - Bangkok truly is the essence of Asia.
Day 3 Chiang Mai
This northern city has long been a traveller's favourite - try the fantastic street food, shop at the night bazaar or visit the hundreds of temples among the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Day 4 Chiang Kong
This small riverside town is alive with cross border traders from surrounding villages.
Day 5 Mekong River
Cross into Laos at the Houeisay border crossing, then cruise downriver to Pak Beng, through magnificent jungle-covered hills.
Day 6-8 Luang Prabang
Once home to Laotian kings, this is a beautiful town of historic temples, a multi-ethnic population, rich culture, vibrant markets, stylish coffee houses and textile treasures.
Day 9 Vang Vieng
With limestone karsts, the sleepy Nam Song river and rice paddies as far as the eye can see, Vang Vieng is the perfect town to go for a bike ride or relax by the riverfront.
Day 10-11 Vientiane (2B)
Quiet and relaxed, the capital city has a wealth of charms to offer with an eclectic blend of French and Laotian architecture, uncluttered streets, riverside restaurants and quiet temples.
Day 12-13 Hanoi (2B)
The shops and markets of the old quarter offer endless temptations where coffee shops continually refill your cup, the museums offer an endless array of history and the local markets serve unbeatable food.
Day 14-15 Halong Bay (2B, 2L, 1D)
Dramatic limestone karst formations rise from the crystal waters of the South China Sea; according to legend they were formed as a dragon descended to the sea.
Day 16 Hue
Once the Imperial capital, Hue is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Vietnam - scattered with the tombs of emperors and timeless temples.
Day 17-19 Hoi An (3B)
Celebrate Hoi An's trading heritage with fabulous markets, galleries, tailor shops, craft stalls and restaurants. The city is rich in historic architecture and has its own distinctive cuisine.
Day 20-21 Ho Chi Minh City (2B)
Begun as a Khmer trading and fishing port, today the "Pearl of the Orient" is Vietnam's foremost commercial and industrial centre. It is an enthralling hub of activity, where the possibilites for eating, shopping, sightseeing and entertainment are virtually limitless.
Day 22 Mekong Delta (B)
The lush green serpentine waterways of the Mekong Delta are a thriving centre of cottage industries, floating markets and fertile orchards.
Day 23-24 Phnom Penh (B)
Stroll through the pleasant riverside cafes, shady streets and thriving markets full of vibrant textiles and curios. Phnom Penh is steeped in the history of the Khmer Rouge, including the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng prison.
Day 25-27 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat
Bike through one of Asia's most incredible sites. Angkor is a tantalizing blend of Hindu and Buddhist art and architecture.
Day 28 Bangkok
Travel from countryside to expressway to arrive in Bangkok in time to head out for drinks and a farewell meal.
