Day 1 Arrive Marrakech
Arrive in Marrakech at any time.
Day 2 Aremd (B,D)
Morning drive to Imlil, continuing to Aremd on foot. Afternoon walk in the area, against the magnificent backdrop of the Toubkal massif.
Day 3 Ouarzazate (B)
After a short walk back to Imlil to pick up our vehicle, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Descend into the pre-desert countryside, and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a popular film location. Next stop is Ouarzazate, a former Foreign Legion stronghold and base for the powerful Glaoui family. Visit one of their Kasbahs and a film studio.
Day 4 Zagora (B,D)
Travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountain range and the splendid Draa Valley—a palm grove dotted with adobe villages and terracing, ending in Zagora, the last town before the desert. Hop on a camel, and ride to the oasis of Nakhla, to our nomad tents.
Day 5 Taliouine (B, D)
Return to Zagora by camel, then follow the Draa Valley back to Agdz and Tazenakht, famous for its carpets. The winding mountain roads of the Anti Atlas Mountains offer magnificent views en route.
Day 6 Taroudant (B, D)
Descend onto the wide Souss Plains to Taroudant, known as “Little Marrakech” with its ochre coloured walls and charming souks. Head back through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to the village of Imouzzer, and visit the nearby “Bridal Veil” cascades.
Day 7 Essaouira (B)
Depart for the Atlantic Coast, stopping at the beach of Tamri; with a bit of luck bald ibises may be spotted here.
Day 8-9 Marrakech (2B)
Morning to relax on the beach or explore charming Essaouira. In the afternoon travel to Marrakech. The next morning, enjoy an historical walking tour.
