Day 1 Arrive Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi at any time.
Day 2 Lake Naivasha (B)
Drive through Kikuyu farmland to the edge of the Rift Valley. Camp on the shore of Lake Naivasha with a large bird population including the ibis, lovebirds, fish eagle and hoopoe.
Day 3 Lake Naivasha
Enjoy a safari walk with herbivores such as zebras and giraffes on your way to the flamingo haven of Green Crater Lake.
Day 4 Nakuru
Journey to Nakuru and explore the colourful town. Drive to the ridge of Menegai Crater to take in panoramic views of Nakuru region.
Day 5 Nakuru
Set off on an early safari in search of the black and white rhino, lion, buffalo, impala, thompson gazelle, and the elusive leopard.
Day 6 Bogoria/Baringo (L)
Travel to Lake Baringo, famous for abundant birdlife. En route, stop for a picnic lunch and tour the boiling geysers of Lake Bogoria.
Day 7 Kakamega Rainforest (B,D)
Drive west to Kakamega, a virgin tropical rainforest which is home to a huge variety of birds and monkeys.
Day 8 Kakamega Rainforest (B,L,D)
Stretch with a morning rainforest walk with local forest guides and learn about the Kakamega Environmental Education Program.
Day 9 Kisumu (B)
After a morning walk, drive to Kisumu, the third largest city in Kenya. Enjoy the colourful local market in Kisumu, home to the second largest tribe in the country, the Luo.
Day 10-11 Kendu Bay Village (B,2L,2D)
Experience how many rural Africans live, in a traditional homestay in the hills above Kendu Bay. Wander with the villagers, strike up conversation and enjoy local hospitality.
Day 12 Homa Bay (B)
Drive to Homa Bay, and spend some time visiting a local community-based project.
Day 13 Kericho (B)
En route, stop in Kisii, the soapstone center of East Africa. Continue to Kericho, Kenya's world famous tea growing region.
Day 14 Nairobi (B)
Travel through hills of tea fields, to the Rift Valley and back to Nairobi.
