Day 1 Arrive Windhoek
Arrive in Windhoek at any time.
Day 2 Waterberg Plateau Game Park (B,L,D)
Head north to Waterberg Plateau Game Park, where in the afternoon you can take a scenic forest walk to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Day 3-4 Etosha National Park (2B,2L,2D)
Etosha means "the great white place of dry water" in the Wambo language. As one of Africa’s highlights, the Etosha National Park offers a variety of wildlife and phenomenal natural beauty. Explore the pans and the park on game drives, with excellent opportunities to spot lion, giraffe, elephant, hippo, and herds of antelope.
Day 5 Damaraland (L,D)
Enjoy one last morning game drive in search of the "Big 5", and begin moving south into the stony desert landscape of Damaraland - the fascinating region of the Dama people. Explore the area, which is adorned with rock engravings and petrified fossil forests.
Day 6-7 Swakopmund (B,L)
Today you will really get a feeling for the Namibian landscape as you continue to travel through the stony desert area of Damaraland en route to the surrounding lunar landscape, of the west coast. We will spend two nights in the area, here you can explore this historical town, try some of the numerous activities available, such as dune boarding or a dolphin cruise, and of course join the group on an included visit to the Cape Cross seal colony.
Day 8-9 Namib Desert (2B,2L,2D)
Head towards the incomparable Sossusvlei, a clay pan enclosed by the world’s largest sand dunes. Spend a full day exploring the dunes, and the natural wonders of this bizarre environment. Here you will really feel as though you’re in the middle of nowhere, or even on another planet!
Day 10 Fish River Canyon (B,L,D)
Journey to Fish River Canyon, the largest canyon in Africa, and arguably the second largest in the world. Spend some time here taking in the majestic beauty of the canyon, as a spectacular sunset slips over the canyon's rim.
Day 11 Gariep River (B,L,D)
Travel through the more arid regions of Namibia, camping on the Gariep (Orange) River. At Gariep River, which makes up the border between Namibia and South Africa, take a walk in the nearby village, have a swim, relax, or take a ride down the river in a canoe.
Day 12 Cape Town (B,L)
Drive to Cape Town, the "mother city", where you can climb Table Mountain or take the cable car. Spend the afternoon catching up on last-minute curio shopping or just lazing on the beach absorbing the Cape's sunshine.
Day 13 Depart Cape Town (B)
Tour ends at approximately at 8am
