Day 1 Arrive Cairo
Arrive in Cairo at any time.
Day 2 Cairo (B)
Explore some of the unforgettable sights that abound in and around the city. Check out the Pyramids, the Sphinx or the Egyptian Museum, all within easy reach for an enjoyable full day tour.
Day 3-4 Alexandria (2B)
Depart the capital and head for the romantic Mediterranean coast and the city of Alexandria. A former keystone of the expansive Roman Empire this city was once home to Alexander the Great and Cleopatra. Be sure to take in some of the key historical sites before boarding the comfortable overnight train for Aswan on Day 4.
Day 5 Aswan (B,D)
Arriving in the early morning the day gets started with a tour of the Unfinished Obelisk and many other interesting sights, including the Aswan Dam. Explore the slow paced lifestyle of people of Aswan before dinner at a local Nubian village.
Day 6 Abu Simbel (B,L,D)
Travel by plane to Abu Simbel, one of the most magnificent monuments in the world. In the late afternoon we will board our luxury cruise ship on the River Nile, our home for the next few days.
Day 7-8 Nile River (2B,2L,2D)
Spend the next few days drifting down the Nile. Sail to Esna and cross the locks before sailing to Edfu, with its temple to Horus, and Kom Ombo dedicated to Sobek (the crocodile god) and Haroeris (the winged god).
Day 9-10 Luxor (2B)
Explore the fascinating resting place of some of ancient Egypt's most important pharaohs, located in the Valley of the Kings. The Karnak Temple is a must see as it's an open air museum and one of the largest ancient religious sites in the world.
Day 11-13 Hurghada (3B,3L,3D)
Enjoy some rest and relaxation over the next few days in this beautiful Red Sea beach resort. With crystal clear water and pristine reefs it offers great opportunities for swimming, snorkelling and diving.
Day 14 Cairo (B)
Journey back to Cairo for one last night on the town. Roam the Khan El Khalili Market for those last minute souvenirs and visit Coptic Cairo to complete your overview of Cairo.
Day 15 Depart Cairo (B)
