Day 1 Arrive Moshi
Arrive in Moshi at any time.
Day 2 Kilimanjaro National Park (B,L,D)
Our climb will officially commence with a four-hour forest walk to the Mandara encampment.
Day 3 Kilimanjaro National Park (B,L,D)
We continue our ascent through the forest, before reaching the heather and moorland zone at roughly 3,000 m. Enjoy stunning views of the mountain peaks around the Horombo Hut (3,720 m), where we spend the night.
Day 4 Kilimanjaro National Park (B,L,D)
Our trek ascends onto the saddle of Kilimanjaro, between the peaks of Kibo and Mwenzi. The vegetation thins out as we enter the desert-like alpine zone (approximately 4,000 m) and, once we cross the saddle, a stunning view of Kibo peak comes into view. Spend the night at Kibo Hut (4,703 m), a comfortable stone construction.
Day 5 Kilimanjaro Summit (B,L,D)
Shortly after midnight, we commence the climb towards the summit of Kilimanjaro. An early start time improves our chances of reaching the summit in time for the famous Kili sunrise. From the summit, it is downhill all the way to Horombo Hut where we spend our last night on the mountain.
Day 6 Kilimanjaro Descent/Moshi (B,L,D)
Today’s descent continues past the Mandara encampment to the bottom of the mountain, where each hiker will receive a well-earned certificate before heading back to Moshi.
Day 7 Arusha (B)
It is a short jaunt across to Arusha, a picturesque town that sits at the foot of rugged Mount Meru, Africa's fifth highest mountain.
Day 8 Manyara National Park (B,L,D)
After breakfast, head west to Lake Manyara, and spend the afternoon touring and wildlife viewing in Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 9-10 Serengeti National Park (2B,2L,2D)
Enjoy the multitude of animal and bird life while cruising through the acacia-spotted savannah of the Serengeti plains. The "Big 5" - lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino - constantly roam this vast expanse of grassland.
Day 11 Ngorongoro Conservation Area (B,L,D)
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park before continuing on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The views at the crater's rim are stunning!
Day 12 Ngorongoro Crater/Arusha (B,L)
Venture down to the crater floor viewing the high concentration of wildlife, including zebra, gazelle, impala, and cheetah, bound by the crater walls. After lunch, break camp and continue back to our hotel in Arusha.
Day 13 Zanzibar/Stone Town (B)
Fly to Zanzibar to explore Stone Town, a captivating labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways.
Day 14 Stone Town (B)
The day is yours! Relax or explore this UNESCO World Heritage town at your own leisure.
Day 15 Spice Plantation - Kendwa (B)
Journey to the northwest coast of the island for a guided tour of a local spice plantation, and delight your senses with cloves, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, breadfruit, jackfruit, vanilla and lemongrass. Spend two days in Nungwi, the beach capital of Zanzibar.
Day 16 Kendwa (B)
Relax on the white sandy beaches, snorkel or scuba dive in the clear waters and enjoy cold drinks and fresh seafood.
