Day 1 Arrive Kampala
Arrive in Kampala at any time.
Day 2 Kisoro
Traverse south-western Uganda through varied terrain until you reach Kisoro, your base for gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 3 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (B)
Embark on our trek early in the morning. Led by experienced local trackers, we make our way into the rain forest on the slopes of massive volcanoes in search of Uganda's mountain gorillas. One of Africa's major highlights, a close encounter with these amazing animals is not soon forgotten.
Day 4 Kisoro (B)
Spend the day visiting a number of sights around this pleasant town. Optional excursions include hiking on a nearby volcano, cave exploration, or wildlife viewing.
Day 5-6 Queen Elizabeth National Park (2B)
Enjoy a morning game drive, with hopes of catching glimpses of buffalo, hippo, elephant, lion, and even the elusive leopard. Choose from a number of optional activities, including chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge or walks in the Maramagambo Forest.
Day 7 Fort Portal (B)
Continue north to the lush and quaint town of Fort Portal. Choose to explore sights in the area such as the crater villages of Kasenda, the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, and Lake Nkuruba.
Day 8-9 Murchison Falls National Park (B)
A full day's journey brings us to Murchison Falls National Park, where an included half day safari awaits. An optional excursion to the top of these spectacular waterfalls will take your breath away. Chose to take a boat cruise on the Nile River, the world's longest, which promises more close up wildlife encounters.
Day 10-12 Jinja
Head south to the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake. Renowned as the “Source of the Nile”, Jinja is fast becoming the thrill-seeker's capital of Africa. Fill your days with rafting or kayaking down the Nile River, mountain biking in the Mabira Forest, volunteering with a local project, or just taking in the relaxed vibe of Jinja.
Day 13 Kampala
Travel back to the capital, where the afternoon is free to explore this vibrant city. Visit the Uganda Musuem, Kasubi Tombs, or one of the city's local markets.
