Day 1 Arrive Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul at any time.
Day 2 Istanbul (B)
Venture into the city split between two continents. Start with the Haghia Sophia Museum, visit the Basilica Cistern, walk around the hippodrome and check out the legendary Blue Mosque. Optional visit to the covered bazaars before our night train to Denizli.
Day 3 Denizli (B,D)
Arrive in Denizli in the early morning. Get your feet wet in the natural pools; in the afternoon take a guided tour of the surreal Pamukkale formations and the ruins of Hierapolis.
Day 4 Fethiye (B,D)
Today journey to Kayakoy the ghost town, now preserved as a museum village juJourney to the ghost village of Kayakoy, today preserved as a museum. Try cooking a Turkish version of pancakes with a local villager (and of course eat your handiwork), followed by a walk around these fantastic ruins. In the afternoon, relax on the beach in Ölüdeniz.
Day 5 Ölüdeniz -Sakilkent (B,D)
Journey to the Saklikent Gorge for a walk through the high-cliffed canyon. Lunch break at one of the wooden restaurants over the river. On the way home, stop at a traditional carpet maker to watch, and maybe try a few knots. Time for an afternoon swim at Ölüdeniz beach.
Day 6 Dalyan (B,D)
Journey to Dalyan for a boat trip on the Dalyan River. First stop: the Caunos ruins—show off your talent in the ancient theatre! Continue downriver to Iztuzu beach, for a traditional mud bath, then it’s back to the beach for a well-deserved swim.
Day 7 Fethiye Golf (B,L,D)
Grab your swimsuit for a day of fun in the waters of the Mediterranean. Cruise along the Fethiye Gulf, stopping for swimming or snorkelling from the boat. Private picnic lunch at a secluded beach.
Day 8 Depart Fethiye (B)
