Day 1 Arrive Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul at any time.
Day 2 Istanbul-Cappadocia (B)
Today explore Istanbul with a tour to the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, and finally the Haghia Sophia before our evening flight to Cappadocia.
Day 3-4 Cappadocia (2B)
For the next two days explore Cappadocia. Experience an authentic Turkish dinner in a local village, and of course, a wine tour.
Day 5 Konya (B)
Journey to Konya, former capital of the Seljuk Turks, stopping first at the underground city of Derinkuyu. Settle into Konya and explore this fascinating city on your own.
Day 6 Konya-Antalya (B)
Visit the holy site where leaders of the Mevlevi “Whirling Dervish” order are entombed, including the famous poet Rumi. In the museum dedicated to Mevlana, founder of the order, Islamic holy music is played, accompanied by the mystical, spinning dance of prayer.
Day 7-8 Kas (2B)
Visit Phaselis, an ancient Lycian city, with a short trip to Chimaera to see the eternal flame, before continuing to the beautiful coastal town of Kas.
Day 9-10 Fethiye (2B, 2D)
Travel to Aegean coast, and the city of Fethiye. Visit the ancient city of Pinara at the foot of Mount Cragus, take a walk through the Saklikent Canyon, and embark on a boat excursion on the Dalyan delta before ending with the ruins of Caunos.
Day 11 Pamukkale (B,D)
Journey to Pamukkale via Kayakoy, an old Greek village given up at the beginning of the 20th century. The night is free to explore Pamukkale, the "Cotton Castle of Turkey," famous for its otherworldly limestone formations.
Day 12-13 Selcuk (2B, 2D)
Free morning, journey to Selcuk in the evening. The next day visit incredible Ephesus, one of the foremost cities of the world in its time, with a strategic location on the Anatolian trade route.
Day 14 Istanbul (B)
Short flight to Istanbul, with time for last minute shopping before one last night with the group.
