Day 1 Arrive Quito
Arrive in Quito at any time.
San Cristóbal (L, D)
Transfer early to the airport for our flight to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival in San Cristóbal, meet our naturalist leader, who will assist with the transfer to the G.A.P Adventurer II.
Day 3 Española (B,L,D)
Head to Punta Suarez on Española Island, the southernmost island in the Galapagos archipelago, home to several wildlife species, including masked and blue-footed boobies. Sail to Garner Bay for excellent swimming and snorkelling.
Day 4 Floreana (B,L,D)
Reach Floreana Island and stop at Post Office Bay. This historic site is where mariners from around the world would deposit and collect letters from a “post office barrel.” Even today visitors may drop off and pick up letters, without stamps, to be carried to far destinations.
Day 5 Santa Cruz (B,L,D)
In Puerto Ayora, on Santa Cruz Island, visit the Charles Darwin Station, see giant tortoises and learn about Darwin’s studies of Galapagos wildlife. Explore and do some shopping.
Day 6 North Seymour (B,L,D)
Sail to North Seymour, home to sea lions, marine iguanas, swallow-tailed gulls, magnificent frigate birds and blue-footed boobies.
Day 7 Bartolomé (B,L,D)
Arrive at Bartolomé Island and go for a hike. Our naturalist guide will interpret the geological history of Bartolomé and explain its dramatic features, including the unusual splatter cones. We may see the rare Galapagos penguin, of which only 800 pairs exist!
Day 8 Santa Fé (B, L, D)
Set sail and reach Santa Fé Island early in the morning. Learn from our naturalist how mangroves survive in its harsh environment, and study the features and habits of prehistoric-looking marine iguanas.
Day 9 San Cristóbal (B)
We reach San Cristóbal. We disembark to visit the Interpretation Centre and later on, we have our transfer to the airport for our flight to Quito. Enjoy one last night on the capital.
