Day 1 Arrive Quebec City
Arrive in Quebec City at any time.
Day 2 Baie Saint Paul
Join a city tour of Canada’s most European city and a picnic lunch on “Les Plaines d’Abraham.” In the afternoon, visit Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area before heading to Baie Saint Paul, and our hotel overlooking the Saint Laurence River.
Day 3 Parc des Hautes Gorges/Tadoussac
Hike through the fir and spruce trees of the Parc des Hautes Gorges de la rivière Malbaie, before driving to Tadoussac for an unforgettable visit to a black bear observation base. Watch these fascinating animals from the safety of a cozy cabin.
Day 4 Saguenay Fjord/Tadoussac
Start with a sea kayaking crash course, before setting out for a paddle along the abrupt cliffs and coves of Saguenay fjord. Start in Baie Sainte Marguerite, mating ground for beluga whales, before trading sea kayaks for hiking boots and a walk along the cliffs overlooking the Saguenay River.
Day 5 Saint Laurence River/Tadoussac
Visit the Cap Bon Désir interpretative centre for a talk on the St-Lawrence’s marine wildlife, while whales swim offshore. Picnic followed by a zodiac trip to the feeding grounds of these fascinating mammals. Get up close with massive fin back, minkie and beluga whales, porpoises and seals.
Day 6 Jacques-Cartier Provincial Park
Early morning trip to the valleys of Jacques Cartier Provincial Park. Join a guided hike or set out on your own by canoe. Dinner around a campfire in a traditional long cabin, before snuggling into sleeping bags for a night in a genuine tepee.
Day 7 Old Quebec City
Early wake-up to see moose in their natural habitat, followed by a campfire breakfast. Travel back to Quebec City, where we explore Old Quebec on foot. Free time for some final shopping before a last dinner and night on the town.
