Public buses, local flight, train, bike, rafts, and hiking.

Meals Included

All meals on the Inca Trail, and on the biking and rafting excursions.

Notes

1. Last minute bookings of this trip and all trips that include the Inca Trail will be on an "on request" basis only. To make a booking request of a tour which includes the Inca Trail G.A.P Adventures requires your full name, date of birth, nationality and passport number.

2. Please advise at time of booking if you do not wish to hike the Inca Trail. Instead you will have 2 nights in Cuzco, travel by train for a night in Aguas Calientes, and join the hikers for the tour of Machu Picchu.

Day 1 Lima

Arrive in Lima at any time.

Day 2 Cuzco

Early morning flight to Cuzco. Arrive and relax or explore the spiritual sites of Sacsayhuaman and Tambo Machay.

Day 3-5 Apurimac River Rafting Trip / Cuzco (2B,3L,2D)

Rafting through the Apurimac canyon, one of the deepest depressions on the continent. Spend three challenging days on the Apurimac river, enjoying the white water and panoramic views. Return to Cuzco in the evening of Day 5.

Day 6 Ollantaytambo

Travel through the Sacred Valley and explore the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo.

Day 7-10 Inca Trail / Cuzco (3B,3L,3D)

Begin your once in a lifetime journey on the ancient trail of the Incas, reaching altitudes of 4200m (13776 ft). Fascinating ruins and spectacular mountain scenery fill every day. On the final day, climb the steps to Intipunku, the 'Sun Gate', to watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu before our tour of the famous Inca ruin.

Day 11 Cuzco

With a friendly, colonial atmosphere, Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches. Horseback riding and paragliding are also possible.

Day 12-14 Biking to the Manu Biosphere Reserve (2B,3L,2D)

Begin your biking adventure at the Ajanacu Pass, 3550m (11650 ft) and descend into the Manu Cloud Forest. Mountain bike down the lush slopes of the Andes and spend the evening in a jungle lodge. The following evening will be spent in an NGO owned and run hostel.

Day 15 Lima

Fly to Peru's capital city for our final night. Visit the colonial Plaza de Armas or stroll through the coastal districts of Miraflores, Barranco and San Isidro for the night life and cafés.
