Day 1 Lima

Arrive in Lima at any time.

Day 2-4 Puno / Lake Titicaca (B,L,D)

Fly to the town of Puno on the shores of spectacular Lake Titicaca. Take a boat trip to visit Taquile Island before continuing on to Amantani where you will be immersed in Peruvian rural life with a homestay in a small village. Visit the floating islands of Uros before returning to Puno on Day 4.

Day 5 Cuzco

Enjoy spectacular views as you follow the path of the mythical Inca founders on this full day of travel from Puno to Cuzco through the high Altiplano region.

Day 6 Ollantaytambo

Travel with our local guide through the Sacred Valley and visit the majestic Pisac archaeological site. Continue to the last living Inca town of Ollantaytambo before preparing for the hike ahead.

Day 7-9 Lares Trek (3B, 3L, 2D)

Travel through the Sacred Valley and spend the morning in Qeshwarani. Continue through the valley and arrive at the indigenous community of Cuncani. Cross the challenging 4440m Condor Pass, with stunning views of Mount Veronica (5750m,) then descend to beautiful Ipsaycocha Lake, our last campsite. On the last day, trek downhill past lookouts of Patacancha. Take the train to Aguas Calientes, and spend the night.

Day 10 Machu Picchu / Cuzco

Catch an early morning bus to Machu Picchu for an uncrowded experience of the lost city of the Incas. Enjoy a guided tour of the ruins, and time to explore on your own before the train to Cuzco.

Day 11 Cuzco

Often considered the Mecca of Peru, Cuzco has a friendly, colonial atmosphere. The town offers nearby Inca sites, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and ornate churches. Rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking excursions are also possible options.

Day 12-14 Amazon Jungle (2B, 2L, 2D)

Fly from high in the Andes to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the lowlands of the Amazon jungle. Travel by motorized canoe to our lodge in the Tambopata Rainforest Area, which holds the world record for the most bird sightings in one area. Explore the jungle with expert local guides. Fly to Lima for one last night in the city.
