Get your adrenaline pumping on an awesome white water adventure down one of Costa Rica's best rafting rivers. Pacuare Lodge, in the middle of Costa Rica's dense jungle rainforest, is so comfortable it's hard to leave. We raft both to and from the lodge, with one day in between to explore the treetops on a canopy tour, hike to waterfalls or just listen to the sounds of the jungle from your hammock.

Day 1 San José/Pacuare Lodge (B,L,D)
Transfer early in the morning from your San José hotel to the Pacuare River. Expert guides explain the "rules of the river" and provide you with gear before the hour and a half raft through dense jungle to Pacuare Lodge, where you can relax for the afternoon.
Day 2 Pacuare Lodge (B,L,D)
Wake up to the sounds of the jungle. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before two hours in the treetops on your canopy tour. After lunch spend the afternoon relaxing in a hammock, walk to nearby waterfalls or take an optional tour.
Day 3 Pacuare Lodge/San José (B,L)
After breakfast launch the rafts to start your trip back to San José. We raft 13 miles (approx 3 hours) of Class III - IV rapids, all the while surrounded by spectacular scenery. Stop to explore side streams, waterfalls and pools; a picnic lunch will be served on an overturned raft at the water’s edge. Arrive at the river take-out and change into dry clothes at private facilities before returning to San José.
