Day 1 Arrive Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires at any time.
Day 2-4 Salta
Enjoy a half-day tour of Buenos Aires. In the afternoon, fly to picturesque Salta, in the North of Argentina. Enjoy empanadas, sample wine and prepare to have your breath taken away by the scenery.
Day 5-6 San Pedro de Atacama
Take a bus to the small desert oasis of San Pedro de Atacama, on the edge of the driest place in the world: The Atacama Desert.
Day 7-8 4x4 Atacama Desert Crossing Excursion / Uyuni (2B, 2L, 2D)
Climb into the Chilean altiplano and embark on a 3-day desert crossing into Bolivia. Travel by 4X4 through the surreal landscape of piercing blue skies and blinding white salt flats between the Salar de Uyuni and the Atacama Desert.
Day 9 Potosi
Travel to Potosí, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a silver mining centre during Spanish colonial times.
Day 10-13 Night bus to La Paz / Tiahuanaco
Travel north to La Paz, the highest capital in the world. Explore the city’s museums or wander the streets, filled with colourful markets and indigenous costumes. Optional activities include a tour to the Valley of the Moon and the highest ski centre in the world. On Day 13, visit the ruins of Tiahuanaco, a 1000-year-old ceremonial centre on shores of Lake Titicaca.
Day 14-15 Puno / Lake Titicaca / Taquile Island
Enjoy spectacular views of the Altiplano countryside on a travel day from La Paz, through the mountains, around Lake Titicaca and on to Puno. Embark on a boat trip to visit the Uros, Amantani and Taquile Islands.
Day 16 Cuzco
Travel from Puno to Cuzco through the high Altiplano region. Friendly, colonial Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches.
Day 17 Ollantaytambo
Journey through the Sacred Valley with our local guide to Pisac and on the picturesque town and Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo.
Day 18-21 Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (3B, 3L, 3D)
Begin a once in a lifetime journey on the ancient trail of the Incas. Fascinating ruins and spectacular mountain scenery fill every day of the hike, and local porters and guides ensure that the trip is worry-free. On the final day, climb the steps to the 'Sun Gate' to watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu. Return to Cuzco on Day 21.
Day 22 Cuzco
Relax and explore the sights and sounds of Cuzco. Rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking are all possible options.
Day 23-25 Amazon Jungle (2B, 2L, 2D)
Fly from high in the Andes to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the Amazon lowlands. Travel by motorized canoe to our lodge in the Tambopata Rainforest Area. Explore the jungle with local guides before flying to Lima for a final night out.
