Day 1 Arrive Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires at any time.
Day 2 Buenos Aires to Ushuaia
Fly south from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia. Free afternoon in the world’s southernmost city.
Day 3-4 Tierra del Fuego National Park / Drake Passage
Take a morning tour of Tierra del Fuego National Park before boarding the expedition ship in the afternoon. Enjoy the sunset over the Beagle Channel as you head towards Cape Horn. Head across the 400-mile Drake Passage. The MS Expedition is at home in this part of the Southern Ocean. Attend daily lectures from your expedition team, and keep an eye out for the first sightings of icebergs, whales, and albatross following in the ship's wake.
Day 6-9 Antarctic Peninsula & South Shetland Islands
Set foot on the Antarctic continent and experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing and inspiring scenery in the world. Take two excursions per day (conditions permitting), and encounter Gentoo, Chinstrap and Adélie penguin rookeries, Weddell, Crabeater and Leopard seals, and Orca, Humpback and Minke whales in the cold Antarctic waters. The Peninsula also has a remarkable human history. Learn about some of the most important and dramatic expeditions to this remote corner of the world.
Day 10-11 Drake Passage
Begin the journey north back to Ushuaia. Enjoy delectable meals and reflect on our memorable adventure during our final two days at sea. Review the highlights of our Antarctic experience with our lecturers and staff, and keep your eyes open on the observation deck for some final whale sightings.
Day 12 Ushuaia to Buenos Aires
Disembark after breakfast and transfer by bus to the airport for your included flight to Buenos Aires.
Day 13 Buenos Aires
Today is free to explore Buenos Aires, known as the Paris of the Americas. Wander the plazas and museums or sit at a local cafe and reminisce about your Antarctic experience. In the evening, join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner and traditional Tango show.
Day 14 Depart Buenos Aires
